Nonprofit shipping ministry in the caribbean
Collaborative Hurricane Response
Partnering with more than 175 different organizations, we have responded to 5 storms in the past 8 years. The length of our engagement depends solely on the need for alternative shipping methods and the Lord's prompting.
Disaster Relief Assistance
We provide shipping and logistical support to a variety of organizations and governmental entities from search and rescue groups, clean water resources, storm mitigation teams, medical response units, and food distribution groups.
delivering hope
International shipping is expensive; shipping life saving and critical supplies after a disaster is more so. Since 2016, GSSM has partnered with hundreds of ministries, churches, NGO’s, and relief agencies to ensure that supplies reach the most critical and hard to reach areas after a storm.
Missionaries to missionaries, we leverage our maritime experience, mechanical skills, and willingness to get dirty in the engine room and carry heavy boxes to meet a practical need in the disaster relief and nonprofit arena. Serving those who serve, we aim to ensure those in the mission field and in the disaster recovery arenas have access to the supplies they need to accomplish their missions.
With an emphasis on our desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a hurting world, we serve as the friend you call with a pickup truck. Ours just happens to travel the oceans…and we can carry a whole lot more.
donations
and good lovin'
Even though our whole thing is that “we take stuff to people,” the focus is the people part. While bringing a boat load of donations and supplies into a devastated area can make a life and death difference, we never want to forget that the “stuff” is secondary to those we serve.
Whether it is the partners we are serving, the guards at the port, or those receiving aid, our primary response is love.
We are not a shipping company – we are a ministry that was started out of a deep love for God and for His precious people. The donations we transport are pretty amazing…the people we get to serve alongside are even better.
We don’t just ship stuff, we live the gospel.
